Wow it has been a while......

Since I last posted. Have not been documenting my crafting as I cannot find the lead for my camera, honest, and this fandagled wireless printer keeps telling me it's not installed on my puter but have managed to scan my latest creation, so blah to technology, brilliant when it works but a right big old pain up the jacksie, when it doesn't, having no interest in techy stuff is not in my favour either LOL.

I have totally enjoyed this one as I have just been able to play and not committed to making it for anyone, as soon as those little words are whispered in my shell like, please can you make me a card, the mojo ups and does a runner.

Tis lovely jubbly to get back involved with a challenge or two, this one was right up my alley to use some new but unused stamps from Crafty Individuals, the challenge this week from Polkadoodles was Vintage and also from Sunday Stampers I used the theme is Gold, although it looked like fake gold as I tried to use gold alcohol ink and it just looked a sickly green, so quickly whipped out my gold paint dabber. If your wondering it's the button that has been painted gold, the colours are not shown so well on the scanned image, a bit pale, but Hels you inspired me to take the wrapping off my distress stains and are lovin em, and it's a doddle to colour seam binding, look at me getting carried away with the old chatty bit. Hello all, I have been a lazy blogger of late, have done a few challenges but not posted, cannot find the lead for the camera to load the pics, so have scanned these images, rubbish I am too with techy stuff, wish I was more interested in it then I may get better results LOL!

Over at http://www.polkadoodle.blogspot.com/ the challenge is to use the free download or from the Sundae of Seasons CD, I have used the latter to create these couple of cards, I have also made some toppers for some sweety treats to match the cards.

Think it's tinternet, the light is flashing but there's no one at home, don't ya just know the feeling! :))

A bit of the old swooshing of ink pads, and a bit of the pro markers, think I'm getting a bit better with the colouring although an artist I will never be.

Arnt' these just the cutest reindeers, I have to eat my words as couldn't get on with CD crafting but am loving these Polkadoodles CDs, if at first you don't succeed, etcetera, etcetera, said in a Yul Brinner, King and I slur, must have been as we were watching Anna and the King, still prefer the old version, but I digress, again.

Best save this before I loose the lot, new stamps too from Crafters Companion, must not buy anymore, got loads still in packets and unused, sucker for em, I am.

Time Flies

Well I had intended uploading a fair few cards I had made in the last month, but blogger doesn't seem to want to open my picture files and seen as I have zero patience with computer stuff, I've lost interest, although our pc seems to be playing up recently, maybe it's time to go to pc heaven LOL.

So after all my good intentions, I have one offering, better luck next time huh!

What were you doing on a fine sunny Sunday evening, well, myself and three other Admin Angels, above, (as well as few others of course), walked 10k for Marie Curie. Thank you ladies I had a lovely time, although I feel pooped this evening, I can't burn the candle at both ends anymore, but all in aid of a good cause, thank you to all who have sponsored us.

The beautiful Castle Howard, the views were wonderful, and the mochacino afterwards was delish too.

Magical Winter - Polkadoodles

As promised earlier, here are the two cards I have made this afternoon, they look flat on the pics but are quite dimentional as I have stuck them to the base with pinflair gel. You ought to see the pile of stuff I have printed out on my desk lol. Ummm will have to be more patient, persevere, and find out how to resize the images, techy, I am not.

A couple of cards I have made, have made a few but forget to take piccies I'm sure we've all been there. The top one is for lovely Anne, hope you had a smashing birthday yesterday hun.

Apart from the tinternet probs, have had a lovely afternoon, and am surprised and pleased to say I have been using a CD, Polkadoodles to be precise. I have a few CD's but not been impressed, have watched Nicky on C&C lots of times and really liked the images, but have been put off because they are CD's, decided to take the plunge with the new Magical Winter and the paper she uses for printing on. I love stamping and colouring, but it's such a mamoth task for Christmas cards but this CD offers the best of both as I can colour as much or as little as I want to as they come pre coloured or black and white. I will post the couple I have made when they are dry.

Am sposed to be getting DD ready for her camp next week, most of the washing is done and she can pack her own stuff, am carrying on crafting LOL, well I am off work for a week.

Looks promising doesn't it, well please don't be deceived, ha, ha, ha. Well, you know the lovely Hels has been on a big adventure the the old U S of A, and has been to Ranger U, well on her blog she is publishing some tutorials. This is the before pic, well even got out my new craft sheet, my other is in a sorry old state, stained lumpy and bumpy and to top it all today, I got uttee all stuck to it while playing with some moulds that the very kind and thoughtful Anne made for me, but that's another story, OOOh and yes we went to Aintree yesterday, not to bet on the Gee Gees but to a craft show and a great time was had by all of us. Back to the matter in hand, this is the result of my effort below.

I'm not too sure that drip, in my case is how I would describe what happened, it was more like a flood that Noah and his Ark would be proud of. The alcohol ink "Pooled" a bit too much in places then in others I didn't seem to put enough, arhh, never mind, I've had a go, LOL.

Best get a move on, have been off work today and tother arf will be expecting his tea ont table when he gets home, fat chance!!

That's my boy, nearly eight months old now, couldn't resist.

Just a few cards I have done in the last couple of weeks, although I've not crafted this week, don't know where the time goes.

Ventured off this morning to Yorkshire Lavender, well, I won't be going again, advertised having a deer park, was thinking they would be a roaming on those hills, but oh no, they were in an enclosure, not my ideer (lol, sorry!), of a deer park, even as cute as they were. Ended up calling in Pet's at home for a new dog brush and a toy, which is, the toy, in bits in the bin, I think that puppies are always on a mission to destroy in the fastest time possible, our poor old lady hasn't a cuddly toy left.

Well it's time for Walkies (said in a Barbara Woodhouse fashion), then it's buffet food and the Eurovision, yes I know it's a load of old twaddle but it's funny and we enjoy watching, much easier now as most artists, I say that loosely, sing in English. Must admit, not that hungry at the mo, was very naughty and not on the diet list, but we had lunch in Chiquitos.

OH dear, need much more practice, here are my first attempts, think I'm cack handed, my wrist doesn't wiggle, but never mind I thoroughly enjoyed myself and got paint all over. But of course, did I go for the beginners set of stamps......OH NO, I wanted to do the pretty butterfly and flowers, serves me right, won't be a painted watering can outside my door this summer, ha, ha, ha.

One plus is that I have cracked the crackle effect LOL.

Sunday Stampers - Blue

Good evening all, well I thought I had better post my offering, it has been a long time since I have had time to join in with the SS although I am a daily visitor to Hel's blog. Well in a nutshell, she's not finished, it needs something else, but you know when you rummage around in your stash and nothing quite fits, thought about a flower, tulle would be nice but don't have any, dangly bits, but all a too big, couldn't find a charm that was right, think I really need some more Stampotique rubber, LOL.

Have had a lovely day, baby pooch got me up around 6am, he's just like a toddler, as soon as the sun is up so is he, he wandered into the garden, had a piddle got on the sofa and went back to sleep. There wasn't a cloud in the sky so off hubby and I went to Nostell Priory, we had a guided tour round the house by a sweet little old couple, a wander through the gardens and round one of the lakes, decided we would bring the dogs at a later date, then we had a little tipple in a nearby pub and sat in the beer garden. So no housework done today, it will wait while tomorrow, what's a bit of dust and a few dog hairs, well probably a lot to someone who has a dust or pet allergy LOL.

Nearly a Whole Month

Well I did promised more crafting and here are three cards I have made in the last couple of weeks.

I would really like to have a go at art journaling and have bought some ink sprays from Art from the Heart I have now decided that I need paints, stencils, downloads and more stamps LOL. I have been spraying but cannot get the look that the fab Dyan gets or the other clever folks, I just don't think I have the imagination, I should go to a class, but am not brave enough, frightened of making a boob of meself.

I have however today been having a go at the faux, I so wanted to say barndoor, but I think it's barnwood technique, and it's worked, I feel like I could do quite an ickle merry dance. I usually have the bull in a china shop approach, but I actually read and followed the instructions, instead of reading, think I'll remember the instructions and go a do it all wrong, then wonder why it doesn't work!!!!!

What a big boy Oh and some tags

The challenge for this tag swap is Timmy baby, Sir Holtz of course, products, stamps, techniques, style, whatever you have and whatever takes your fancy, so here is my interpretation above. Rubbish pic, but that's because I took it LOL.

Cannot linger for very long as have snook away to do some crafting, as per the usual, I keep getting the comment "Always buying, never using", sound familiar! I just cannot seem to find enough time at the minute, so much I want to do but so little time, where oh where is my big lottery win.

Here is the latest pic of my ickle fella, although he has had a bit of a limp for the last few days, but I'm not surprised as he hurls himself about and races around in a mad frenzy with his tongue lolling from the side of his mouth panting. However it's not slowed him down and he doesn't appear to be in any pain, if he's still limping at the end of the week may have to visit the vet. My daughter took this pic of him at the weekend, that's why it's in focus lol, I did try to warn him that it may be a danger to his health snuggling up in her bedding, not quite sure how long it's been on her bed, I keep thinking of making a warning sign for her room door, I've learnt not to look.

Righty O, better sign off as time is marching on and it'll soon be time for me to snuggle up under the covers. I promise, more crafting and less puppy.

How Long!!!

This is one of the reasons I have not had time to craft, our ickle Olly, oh he looks soooo tiny. Actually the pics have loaded in the wrong order as below is three weeks later and two kilos heavier, and these moments are rare. He is an absolute nutter and a bundle of energy, my poor old pooch doesn't know what's happened, he won't leave her alone, but she is getting used to him more now.

Peace has been shattered, this below is when we first brought him home, butter wouldn't melt, HUH, I don't think so, don't think I've ever said NO and GET Down as much in my life, but he's lovely, and just wishing for the better weather so we can go out and about, he can finally go beyond the confines of the house and garden from Thursday, but will have to coax him out as cannot get him out of the front door. I have my training treat bag and new lead at the ready, we have been doing a little training in the house quite successfully.

Oh what an age it seems since I last blogged and actually crafted, ummmmm, think it's about four or five weeks, but as you can see from above, have not had much spare time. So am stealing a few quiet hours while my daughter and hubby are on dog watch, but they have got a thingy majig for the Xbox to go live and have managed to get it on the puter so they can connect on the big telly, DD has been squeeling with delight, hooking up with friends via the Kinnect. All the while I have been happy with some ink pads, ink dusters and stamps, but I kid you not, after tidying away all traces of Christmas stash, I sat at my tidy desk with not an idea in my head, but am pleased with the end result.

Better late than never, it was finished in time, but have been having an ickle bit of trouble with the old sinusitis over the weekend and never got round to crafting or blogging. SS was a good excuse to take a break with the Chrimbo cards and play, getting messy again and I loved it. Better call in on Hels and see what the new SS is, I always have good intentions but always find myself getting side tracked, but shouldn't moan about the Chrimbo card making, as makes me a few pennies to spend on more crafty stash.

There you go Pam, back on the radar, I know I have been missing for a while but need to keep off the pc and concentrate on the crafting lol. Have been playing with inks and these gorgeous Darkroom Door stamps, and Elusive Images, treated myself to them a while ago and love em, need more, but alas the big fella in the red coat is due and have had the stern warning about buying anymore craft stuff at the minute, plus giving the bathroom a paint job too, but of course I want new fittings blind, shower screen......... need I go on.

Have been stuck into the Chrimbo cards too, but was missing my inks and stamps, got die cuts and decoupage, for speed but must admit to getting board with them and not finding them very inspiring.

Must dash got 6th form opening evening at my DD's school tonight.

Sunday Stamper - Red and Blue

Happy Thursday all hope your having a good one, I am, having a crafty day off work, and this is one of my inky creations today. This first time I have had a go with doing a reflection on my brayer and if I say so myself am quite pleased with the result, although there is a red scratchy bit in the sky, but it wouldn't be hand made if it were perfick now, would it!

There's still time left to enter the Sunday Stampers theme this week take a look over at Hel's blog, I am the first to admit to submitting an entry late on the odd occasion.

Have been asked to make 8 thank you cards, all for men too, it's one of those times you wish you hadn't been asked, know what I mean. LOL

Apologies to Julia too, took my pic on Tuesday evening for WOYWW, but came home from work yesterday, ate, slumped on the sofa and fell asleep, oops, am sorry ladies. Maybe I'll stick the pic on my blog anyways.

The Artistic Stamper challenge - Rainbow

Over at the Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog the challenge is rainbows, so this is what I have been playing with and hope it's cuts the mustard as there are some fabulous pieces, also Jennie is celebrating her blogaversary and is giving away some fab candy so what ya waiting for get over there now, he, he, he.

I used the only big n juicy I have which is hydrangea and on the left hand page I brayered onto some art card (note to self, haven't yet cleaned the brayer), spritzed with water and dried with my heat gun. On the right hand page I stamped the image and used my waterbrush to move the colour around, the stamps I used are Lost Coast Designs (I think!), Stampers Anonymous, Basic Gray and the Artistic Stamper, oh and the top was from a new wrought iron gate stamp I have from Hero Arts.

Ooops, sorry, but I was not feeling very well when I came home from work yesterday, so never got to post, but this is my desk as I was playing on Tuesday evening. New stamps from Darkroom Door, do I not like cutting out and mounting, I have lots of rubber sheets with holes cut out of them and the rest waiting to be done, and must confess to having untouched ones too but, SSSSShhhhh, don't tell OH.

Hope you all had a lovely Wednesday and have to apologise as managed to get round a number of blogs last week but then started having errors when trying to leave comments, so gave up trying to leave any, but that's the way it goes. I will deffo be at the bottom of Julia's Mr Linky this week LOL.

Afternoon WOYWWer's, thought I would be earlier today, been off work, but it so glorious, did my cleaning, showered and have sat in the garden and brushed the dog, OH is oiling the love seat and DD is putting the final touches to her art project book before going back to school tomorrow.

We went to Scarborough yesterday on the Yorkshire coast and still wish I was there, had a fab day, we were supposed to be decorating the bathroom but apart from taking off the mirror tiles, we haven't done a thing, but fear not I'm sure there will be plenty of rainy weekends when we can tackle it, have to make the most of the sunshine don't we, who am I trying to convince, I wonder LOL.

Well back to my desk, ummm, not changed in the last few days, have finally got a couple of shelves up in my craft room, (still need some more, but it's a start), as you can see below, some folks have some fab cupboards and storage, but me been a bit tight didn't want to spend loads on storage, would rather spend it on stash. So me and OH did a bit of pilfering at Tesco's, as the cardboard display boxes which they have all the kids back to school stuff in are really sturdy, you can see on my window sill the before, and on my desk is one I am in the process of covering with paper and will be used to put A4 card and paper in, emptying one of my drawers to fill with more stash.

Ah ha, managed to do it this week, although still nothing altered or grunged, and my paper flowers were already made, was delving into my stamps and you wouldn't believe the amount of stamps I have bought and are still unused, found about 4 Sugar Nellie stamps and this is one of em. So was side tracked and the above card is what I came up with, mosey on over to Hel's blog and take in the array of artwork on display.

Good evening all, just a couple of cards I have done and actually remembered to take some pics, I have another one which is drying at the minute and cannot decide if it's finished, it's in the danger zone as if I start tweaking usually end up ruining them. That's exactly what I did with SIL's birthday card, and why she ended up with the quick make below.

Have been ummming and arrhhing all day whether to buy the Cricut, as have a good deal on C&C, OH said I can't have it as it's too much money, DD says I already have the bug and it's just an electronic version, anyone got any advice. Do I just want it or do I need it, ooohh, have 8 Thank you cards to do and all for males, any ideas, they would be gratefully received.

Hello peeps, missed last week, not blogged at lot lately and have not taken pics of the cards I have been making either, the old cliche, not enough time. I'm getting used to been at the bottom of the list, that's where I started my viewing pleasure last time to nosey at the peeps who are as organised as me!!!!

On my desk this week is a card I've just finished for a work colleague's granddaughter, was a bit miffed last night as had done another card with a Kenny K digi design and just thought I would tweet it a bit, and yup, you've guessed it, made a right pigs ear of it didn't I. Have a love hate relationship with my pro markers not very artistic and am trying, by studying coloured images to try and get some light and shade, just never seems to work for me and just end up colouring with a block colour. I digress, I know, but so wish I could do it, LOL.

Below is my new dooo, and cooked to perfection in a tantalising real red, although every pic DD took is blurred, think she was doing it on purpose, so this is the best of the bunch.

Hope you've all had a lovely Wednesday but don't forget you can still pop round to Julia's and have a good old nose at all the other work spaces. I will openly admit I never get round everyone but do try and visit some new desks each week. Hugs to all.

Good evening all, yes I am later than usual, but here none the less, and did visit a couple of blogs in my lunch at work.

Unusually for me I have taken quite a close up of my desk as it was, half an hour ago while making a card for a friends twin niece and nephew, was a bit stuck as had the Paper Nation decoupage, and I tell you now my new scissors I bought are worse than the old ones I was replacing, maybe I need to borrow some of Anne's lol, well back to the plot unbelievably I don't have any girly pastelly papers, so decided to dig out all the Once upon a time stash, which is where I have unearthed the photo's of my daughter from on my desk, as they were in the box waiting to be used in the Album, so far have only done two pages as not done very much scrapping, ummmmm, and that was errrmmm probably at least twelve to eighteen months ago oops. Are you still with me, well my idea was that the little girl would have Once Upon A Time and the little boy Happily Ever After, am still scratching head as wonder if the papers are ok for six year olds, decided I will take the completed one and if tis ok will crack on with the other, if not, back to the drawing board and cutting out.

Just to show I can be messy, here's a pic of the floor and my draws, while I've been crafting,but it's now fairly tidy again, just can't leave it LOL.

Good Morning WOYWW ers, and note I've said morning yes I am off work this week and thought I'd start my Chrimbo cards and am probably the only person wishing for rubbish weather so I can stay indoors without an pangs of guilt, and as I type the heavens have opened, looks like the washing will be on the maiden in the conservatory today and the weeds in the garden will just have to stay a little while longer ROFL.

I thought I had all the time in the world having a week off, but it's Wednesday already and I've only managed to do three 8x8 cards (two pics below and the one on my desk), and a couple of 6x6. May have to make a mammoth amount and try to sell as manay as I can, as DD has been selected as one of the West Yorkshire Guides to go on an International Trip next summer and we have to fund raise approx £1700. Am feeling very nervous about it as DD is so laid back she's horizontal, and so not organised, have to open a bank account and keep the accounts as have to present them after the trip, can feel a panic attack coming on, lol. But must also add am very very proud of her and any ideas gratefully received.

Phew! well now that's off my chest back to my desk, there's the same old stuff lingering, but it's as I left it yesterday afternoon and just got to mount the card onto an 8x8 card blank, actually it's quite messy for me, usually tidy away, think the stems from crafting in the kitchen and having to tidy everything away when I'd finished.

Yes Anne I know about the clear Timmy stamps, they have been on Inkylicious web site for a few weeks, (sorry peeps, just talk amongst yourself for a minute, no credit on phone so cannot reply to texts and apart from walking the dog not left the house since Saturday, lazy mare arn't I), you know me, no restraint will buy them all and think about the consequences later, but DD still needs some curtains, so may have to have a little train journey tomorrow, without OH, LOL.

My Potatos and a Birthday Card

I can post this card as I know Anne (Liverpoollou) has received it. It is sort of Wendy V stylee but I don't have any of her stamps, they are on my very long wish list, LOL. I have inked up a piece of paper with DI, stamped with dotty stamp and TH swirly stamp, the flower stamps and the dots were from the Artistic Stamper, the flowers are stamped on grunge paper, overlaid with the dots and coloured with DI's, think the chipboard frame is from the pound shop, coloured and stamped

It's very muggy in my little room today, I can see the trees blowing gently in the wind but cannot open my window as there is too much stash piled up on the window sill, although it has not been cold up ere int Yorkshire we've had lots of cloud and rain, but this has helped my tatoes to grow and am very excited, as below is a photo of my very first attempt at growing something, Ta Dah, we saw them peeping out last week so decided to pull some up this weekend. They were lovely roasted on Sunday and scrummy as mash last night, but we have decided to leave the rest of them a few more weeks as some at the top were quite small.

Am going to be more organised next year and do a crop of new pots too, just wish I had a big enough garden for a veggie patch, as the drive may be covered with grow bags next year, my carrots are coming along nicely too, although my OH did say that there only enough for one meal, well I am only having a go, as not done it before, would like to have a go at other veggies but there is a lack of space.

Well a big Hello all you WOYWWer's, hope you are all tickety boo. Am hanging head in shame as had to stop myself from getting settled on the pc for the last couple of weeks as had card orders coming out of my ears, not that I'm complaining. Have felt an ickle bit mojoless at times so some probably taken longer than I would have liked. Will stop my waffle and tell you whats on my desk as of Tuesday evening, a new home card that I think is completed, you know what it's like "Does it need something else?", that's usually when I make a bit cock up, Bo Bunney papers, the usual stuff that never gets cleared away, a couple of painted images and a half done card. Here's my entry for last week, have had it done for ages, just not had time to come onto the pc and post it, pop over to the luscious Hel's blog and check out the theme for this week .

Was out early doors yesterday as had booked my hubby and daughter on Go Ape at Dalby Forrest , didn't book a place for myself as was not sure I would be able to get my fat BTM up the cargo nets, but wished I had as it looked great fun and they both had a great time, and I wished I had had a go on those zip lines too. Nearly done all my card orders so hope to have more time later this week. Have fun all. xx

Thought I'd better post this before tomorrow, lol. Although I feel a bit of a cheat cos I only stamped the sentiment, but I soooo loooovvvveee it, nearly didn't give it away, I made it for a friend at works birthday last Wednesday, I have more birthdays at the minute than you can shake a stick at, which is why I've spent the last few hours making my daughters birthday card for tomorrow as she is out at another party. But these are the two entries I have for last week, a tag which has not scanned very well, no news there then!, and a 21st card I have made for a friend at work who's birthday is on Thursday, and all the girls are going out for a curry on Wednesday, am looking forward to that, yum.

Yes I know, this is not my workspace, but caught this two ickle squirrals knoshing on my bird food, this explains why it's all only lasting 24hrs and even been out this weekend and bought more feeders, this one is scurrying across my back fence to join his mate who is already tucking in.

Here he is hung upside down tucking in, he was so engrossed he never noticed me with the camera until his mate did a runner back across the fence lol.

I also went to visit my dad who lives in Hornsea on the Yorkshire coast as I've not seen him since Christmas, I have to admit that I really went to see his new pooch Alfie who the got from the rescue centre a couple of months ago. He sooooo cute, if a bit nervous, but not sure he would survive in our household am sure I would be tripping over him all the time as he's a bit titchy.

Well here we are, at last I hear you shout, my desk, I'm in mid flight trying to do my tags, my mojo has done a runner and am struggling, but need to get them done, ssssshhhh, yes it is Tuesday but trying to be organised this week, as I am at work as ususal and end up posting late on a Wednesday, I'm hoping it appears on my blog when it should. Good afternoon WOYWWer's, notice, I did say afternoon, am on jolly's from work this week and what a week so far. Not been in my craft room as much as I intended and have heaps to get done but must make the most of the sunshine. Had a lovely walk yesterday, but found it a bit hot in the garden when we returned and couldn't sit, the only downside is stinking hayfever, felt really rough this morning, maybe all the sun yesterday didn't help. What is it, mad dogs and English men, out in the midday sun!!!! I know I have been AWOL for the last couple of weeks but it has been so hectic, I just have not had the time to indulge on the PC, so needed this week off work.

I seem to keep moving stuff about at the moment, this is what was on the floor while I was making a tag yesterday afternoon, just picked it up and dumped it back on my desk, lol.

Sunday Stamper - Metal

I haven't managed one for ages, but here's my effort, it was to include something metal on your art work, Ta dah, it's not a card. I have got inky fingers today, I've inked, spritzed, well more like drowned the tag, stamped with a Paper Artsy script stamp, stamped some flowers onto grunge paper, I think they are Elusive Images flowers, cut up a grunge board swirl, added Idea-ology tag and a bit O bling. Have done the other side too but forgot to scan, lol. Drop in on Hels and check out her fab art work, and if you fancy join in. Better go wash my mitts and feed the troops, ta ta for now.

1st Birthday

I was asked for a card for a first birthday, ummmm, I thought, and ummmm, I thought some more as I don't have much in the way of baby or very small child stash, but after some more thinking, very taxing it was too. I realised that Sophie, wouldn't give two hoots about the card, only been 1 and it was more for the person giving the card and the parents, so this is what I came up with, hope you likey.

Now, there's a bit of a story behind why I have photographed my bush, I have recently enhanced my natural locks (the ones on my head, for those of you who are like minded and have a mucky mind), and gone on the bright side and a friend said it reminded her of the colour of a Japanese Maple, and I just happen to have one, however it's summer and mine is quite purpley but will go a fantastic shade of red in the autumn, maybe I'll go purpley in the autumn!

This is our pond which is a pain at the moment as we cannot seem to keep it clean, which is why OH dragged me off to the aquatic centre last week to purchase a "Pond Vacuum" We got the one recommended, (the most expensive or course), but dear hubby is not like a bull in a china shop unlike me and read the instructions, got out his tape measure and discovered that the depth was too shallow to accommodate said expensive vacuum. Week later returned to aquatic centre to find out could only get credit note and came home with what amounted to a pond aqua vac, fish carrier, round bag thingy, and some fluffy stuff to filter the water. Won't bore you, but gravity and all meant we had to use a table, on top sat the vac, then a chair, height less than the table to run the outlet pipe over into the fish carrier which had said fluffy stuff in and the valve in the carrier open for the filtered water to go back into the pond. That is not all of it, all I will say is it's a palaver and will probably take OH till next summer to clean the pond!!!!!

So here we are, I'm the proud mummy of these potato plants, which is why I was taking the pics in the first place, as my gardening guru at work wanted to see my first green fingered attempt, so come on Christine, watcha fink! You can just see my carrots too, although I thought I'd slipped sprinkling the seeds but now they are coming through, I don't think I did, OH said there's not even one bag O carrots there, never fear I have one more container and a bucket load of seeds.

Sorry, didn't join in with WOYWW this week, just a hectic week, but have managed a couple of cards, only have a point and press camera, but still can't get them in focus lol, but you get the gist. Used Tim's new vintage shabby papers, oooooh, they are lovely, and his swirl stamp, Stampotique stamp and Dyan's downloads, which are fabby too.

Have loads of birthdays and celebrations to make cards for in the next couple of months so best get my skates on, thank you World Cup, and excuse for me to do a disappearing act, although I did don my England T and watch last night, disappointing but I don't think they played to badly, we always think this is going to be the one, don't we. COME ON ENGLAND.

Tis a bit on the miserable side here today, have not put my washing out as we keep getting spits and spots of rain, but have managed some ironing, OH forgot he even had a Brazil T shirt, not my favourite chore I have to say, so do it as little as possible, love my drier, fold it and into the cupboard, just don't watch the meter racing round while it's on. Enjoy the rest of Sunday, doh! back to work tomorrow, but finish on Friday for a week, yaaaaaaay!

Happy WOYWW 1st Anniversary, here is my effort, an altered bean tin, using metal coloured with alcohol inks, although I couldn't do the letters as the alphabet dies I have wouldn't work with the metal so had to resort to chipboard, with a bit of bling added. I know they are blurry the pics, think I was too close with the camera. Can't wait to visit Julia's blog and see what other pieces have been have been completed.

Other than the tin I have completed my journal and need to get it posted, which I will do today, short and sweet for me today, have a lovely Wednesday all.

Howdy WOYWW er's, did you have a lovely weekend, well I did which is why not much crafting took place, have had my head down for a couple of nights as needed to get a card done for a friend, (posted below), and have been adding a bit more colour to my canvas, have a few ideas what I am going to put on it just need to pull it all together. Still not finished my book covers either, oh how easily it is to get side tracked, like so many, could do with a few more hours in the day.

Has turned a bit chilly up ere int North, but am happy to say that means the duvet is back covering my modesty in the night, that is so not a good look anymore. Hopefully the sun will be back for the Bank Holiday weekend and if not I'll be in my craft room.

Back to business, go over to Julia's blog and take a peak at what the rest of the gang has been up to this week, sorry guys n gals (said in a Jimmy Saville style, don't have a big fat cigar though) I was no where near getting through the whole list, think it was probably the worst I've done yet, although DD did have revising last week, am thinking of a good pressie for her this coming festive season!!!!

Well technically speaking this is now last weeks challenge, (the sunshine kept me hostage in the garden!), and if you want to take a peak at this weeks theme go and have a nosey around Hels blog and see some fantastic artwork. I did take a picci with my ickle fat tootsies as my daughter painted them red for me the other day, but a close up of my hairy big toe was not a pretty sight, I can tell you.

Why did I not have any self adhesive red stones either, I had to set too with the quickie glue pen, why does the camera always pick out the crappy bits, I can honestly say it's not that noticeable on the card, must be the flash, well that's what I'm sticking to anyway. LOL.

Happy Wednesday to all you WOYWWer's, no day off for me today so, have just stuffed myself with pizza and chocci biccies (note to self, start diet tomorrow, muffin top now turned into gateau top !!!), watched Hollyoaks, tis killing me just wanna know who shot Calvin, and now commandeered the pc to post my picci.

Those book covers which were on show last week are now partly decorated and must finish them off as have to make up my book ready to pop in the post, oops I forgot to move the bean tin which is now partly completed also, but more of that for the WOYWW celebrations in a couple of weeks. I have stolen taken inspiration from Linda E , a tin which she altered and appeared in an edition of Craft Stamper. Oh yes, a new set of stamps which I got from Inkylicious last weekend and are still in the packet, OH was watching over my shoulder all the way round the shop so had to be good, completed my spend with some Claudine Hellmuth matte medium and some petaloo flowers, I will return when it is safe to do so and on my own LOL.

Morning all, yes I said morning! I have a GP appointment this afternoon so decided to treat myself to a day off work yaaaayyyyy. I have washed the pots, cleaned round the house, have washing drying, planted some carrot seeds and do need a shower but that can wait a while and am feeling very pleased with myself lol. Was so excited this morning too as while washing the pots I looked up to see a large bird on our fat feeder and it was a spotted woodpecker, we have seen it in the trees behind our house but never in the garden, of course there was no one here to share it with. I dashed to get the camera but it had gone by the time I got back. Back to business, make sure you visit Julia and all the other WOYWW er's and have a good old nosey.
What's on my desk other than the items that never move, a new pack of baby wipes and some covers I am preparing with gesso as part of a circle journal type challenge. My bean tean for altering is still there, unaltered and out of view is a canvas I have gesso'd (is that a word?), and still not entirely sure what I'm going to do with it.

Good evening addicts and followers of our leader Julia and if your not addicted take the plunge and bare all. Yes I know below is not a pic of my craft space but the photo's loaded the wrong way round and I will put that down to me not concentrating cos the old gray matter is feeling a bit woolly. The hay fever has taken hold and feeling very under the weather, came up to craft but have no enthusiasm, want to snuggle under my blanket on the sofa and watch tv, I'm not moaning especially as Paula has had a double whammy over the last few weeks, sending lots of hugs and take it easy.

This is one of a couple of wedding cards I made as a friend of mine is getting married on Saturday and this is the one I decided to give to the Happy Couple. The Making Memories papers are so gorgeous and strokable, (is that a word LOL). I have had a bit of a card fest over the weekend as have lots to make, it's no wonder I don't get time to branch out, although I do have a book to make for a challenge.

This is my ickle baby who oftens lays behind my chair and I have to be careful not to run into her, or drop, well throw anything behind me while she's there. She out of sort at the mo as her daddy is working away for a few days and she's not used to him being away so is laid on the curve of the staircase watching the front door waiting for him to come home, arrrhhhhh.

And finally, at last, you say, there's not much different about the top of me desk this week so decided to show under my desk, stamps, dies and some christmas stash storage although I have some stamps which were bought with kits in more boxes and I think my quick kutz (hardly used, ummm, maybe my OH has a point when he won't let me have a cricut), is in the bag with my dies. Phew! It seems like it's been a long Wednesday today, but here's whats on my desk, please note the bubble wrap is off my BIA, well, we have been in our new house now for nearly a year and thought it was time to unpack it LOL. Towards the back of my desk is the stack of pro markers I bought at the craft show last Saturday, yes the were a barging, I kid you not, £4.95 a packet and already I feel I need more, are we ever satisfied? Some Gorjuss Girls decoupage I also bought on Saturday, not a fan of images with only eyes, but really liked these but they are a bugger to put together, the card is really thick and not very flexible, also some images I had already stamped which I have been playing with using my pro markers. If you've not year dared to bare all in public, shimmy over to Julias blog and see what is lurking on and in the other addicted WOYWW er's.

Thought I would include a couple of cards I made for my nephews birthday, the frogs are on springs and wobble.

Not sure I am entirely pleased with either but he was probably more interested in the pressie as kids tend to be, LOL.

Craft Show - Aintree, Liverpool

I was lucky enough to go with Anne (Liverpoollou) to the craft show held at Aintree race course yesterday. Here is a pic of my haul, did I stick to my budget, course I didn't, well those pro markers were such a bargain. I finally have some MS punches, yay.

As I was AWOL yesterday, have spent the day playing catch up, supermarket shop, cleaning, washing etc so have not had time for a little play. Don't know why just cannot craft Sunday evenings, usuually curl up on the sofa in my jim jams with a glass of wine and watch telly, before having to go back to work on Monday.

Am coming over all peculiar second week in a row that I have stuff on my desk, this is a card, yes another card, all my good intentions to branch out in tatters again this week, although I do have a half painted canvas, is a Mojo Monday sketch and have used an 8x8 card, not finished and left it last night as have an 18th and 21st coming up in the next few months and cannot decide whether to play safe and save it for one of those occasions. Pound to a penny when they come around will be rushing and the the old mojo will have gone on holiday.

Not managed to get round everyone yet so will keep trying, but have to go to my daughters school parents evening tonight, so probably won't get back on the pc.

Am about a week late blogging this challenge and there is a new theme today, but am getting so little time to craft at the minute, the gorgeous sunny weather was to blame yesterday, so have to play catch up today, just finished ironing and cleaning, but did get help from my lovely OH, just put the chicken int the oven and thought I'd better at least post my effort. Mosey over to Hel's blog and find out what the them is this week.

The theme was silver, I used some pearl siver card and some black emobossed card, stamped the Artistic Stamper swirl stamp in silver and embossed in clear powder, added some ribbon and a few gems. Stamped a Basic Grey stamp on black card in silver ink, matted onto silver card, am going to leave it alone and not add anything else, as I usually make a mess by faffing too much lol.

I'm late again, sorry Julia, hope I'm forgiven, but the battery in my camera was dead so have had to recharge and have taken a pic of work in progress, just to show that I can be messy, I just have to tidy up after, think this is because I used to craft in the kitchen in my old house and had to pack everything away when I finished, didn't have enough room to move to take a pic of the floor, lol.

Think this is the first time I have done any crafting for about nearly two weeks was too busy over the weekend and have come home from work, cooked, eaten, put my jim jams on and fallen asleep on the sofa, how exciting am I, think it's the after effects of an engagement party we went to on Saturday, didn't get to bed while around 2am and was awake at 6am and in the garden centre at 10am, and gardening in the afternoon, well, digging little holes and planting some bedding plants, Monty Don I am not.

Errrrm, not a lot! So shimmy over to Julia's blog and peruse so much more interesting places than mine.

I made the card on Monday for my friends birthday on Friday and had a little tidy up too, not done anything in the last couple of days, probably due to the return to work after a lovely long weekend.

The frog and monkey cards are still on my desk probably as my nephews birthday is not for a couple of weeks, am trying to fathom out how to do some lilly pads as my free hand drawing, more like scrawl lol, and my cutting have not given me the best results, the stamp I have is much too small, so answers please on a postcard. The ribbons won'f fit in my ribbon draw, so no home yet for them, but I'm sorry, sorry, sorry, I have to tidy my things away, I just can't help it, although one small confession Mother Superior, my ink pad draw is a tad untidy.

Must dash, have an engagement card to make for Saturday, and no idea what I'm going to wear either, a few lush papers and the odd flower to cover my modesty! better not it would scare all the guests.

Erm, nothing as I have not crafted since the weekend and my daughter has monopolysed my craft room as she had been on the puter doing homework so whats a mum to do. My Time to Craft Challenge - Make it Manly

Haven't managed to do a challenge in ages, but when I saw this one I clapped my ickle hands together as I have had a few "Manly" cards to do this week so pop over to My Time to Craft and join in.

I have used milled lavendar DI and blended onto a piece of card and stamped with a crackle background in imperial purple versafine. Screwed up a piece of Co Ordinations card stock and sanded over the top so the lavender on the reverse of the black card showed through, used Inkadinkado stamps, added some ribbon and matted onto some purple mirri card, viola.

Here we go again peeps, oopps, must be rubbing off on me left my desk in a tip but have been on a card making frenzy, busy month for me March and of course was making my Hubby's BD card at the last minute for today, and one for my daughter to give too.

Teenage Card

Have done my teenage card for my friend to give to her 14 yr old son, now just have to do one for me to send lol.

I am quite pleased with the card after all the anguish, I have used Inkadinkado stamps and some MM "Just Chillin" papers. I stamped the guitar onto the star background, inked some card with some DI's and stamped the guitar onto the card and cut out. It doesn't show up but I added glossy accents to the black inked areas of the guitar.

Couple of cards in the pipeline, a friend of mine has asked me to do her a card for her son who will be 14 next week, arrrhhhhhh, just don't have anything suitable and need to get it done and one for me to send too.

However, I do have my MIL's Mother's Day card to post, although it had to be altered as, can you see the glue mark at the top, well ended up with a scalloped boarder at the top as a cover up job, lol.

Well must dash have lots to do, will look at all your tidy and messy spaces later.

Here we are another Wednesday, where has the week gone and I know it's nearly over, but better late than never, and what's a working girl to do! Get over to Julia's blog and peruse the other addicts of WOYWW.

Thought I had better stick to what I know as have been trying to download a picci from OH's mobile of my dear Daddy's new ickle doggie but me been a whizz at all thing techy, rofl managed to start downloading song from my Ipod playlist, I swear I never touched a thing! Have managed to delete "Dreamboats and Petticoats", not sure he would appreciate the music but I did she some digi stamp images and papers, but can I find where they are on the phone. Will deny all knowledge.

Above is the card I have just finished, which is half assembled on my desk below, better put it to dry before the flowers all drop off. Blending's still not quite right, can't get it smoothly and evenly onto the card, but will keep trying

Looks a bit messy, that's cos I have been in the middle of making my first WendyV's styleee card, minus any of Wendy's stamps, but I am proud to say I have adapted an overcome this by utilising what I've already got.

See I do have stash gather all around me, only problem is I cannot leave my chair, as my room is only tiny and there's not a lot of floor space, and end up barricading myself in.

It's Wednesday again, am supposed to be up here crafting but have got sidetracked downloading some music to my Ipod so just thought I would load the pics of my desk which I took when I got home from work.

Am soooo excited too, got my Tim H's TSV on Friday, you will notice it's not on display as I still have not fessed up to OH that I bought it, the book he would notice but not the other bits and bobs. Also got Wendy Vicci's book too, which you can see on my desk. Best get a wiggle on if I want to make my desk a bit more messy LOL.

Have taken a couple of other pics, but have had a tidy and a bit of a clear out over the weekend as mojo had gone on holiday and I couldn't get motivated, but I desperately need it back as I have tons of cards I need to do, so please send me crafty thoughts as I'm told the power of the mind can work wonders, ummmmm, think my batteries must be running low!

Ooooh, look at that cupboard have made more room for more stash, SSSSSh need to keep it quiet.

Birthday Card

Good evening all, I have been sat closited away in my little room and come up with a whole load of nowt! Have made an alcohol ink background, inked and stamped a piece of chipboard, stamped and stuck on a crocco'd frame I did a couple of weeks ago and just added some of Sir Tim's crackle paint. Loads of bits and not one finished item lol.

So here's a card I did last week for one of my daughters friends. Did a 40th too for my brother in law but think I forgot to scan it!

OOh I'm sooo excited, feeling very proud of myself taken a picture of my desk so I can join in. Although it's probably looked like this for over a week as not had time to enter the room of stash, DD taken over the PC (which is also in the room) and there's only room for one, probably because our bargain chair is much too big! Ummm, do feel sorry for her, she gets and awful lot of homework and it just happens that she always needs the pc!!!!!! Had to whip off the blanket from the curtain pole that she was using for a curtain, really must get a blind, as you can see we had some sunshine late afternoon and all the snow has melted, yipeeeee. Well back to the task in hand, really must tidy those stamps away can't even remember how long they have been there and in pristine condition as not even used them but sssshhhhh, don't tell hubby ROFL Clogged my silicone glue syringe up too, left the cap off, tried to unblock with a cocktail stick which snapped and is now incased inside the silicone in the syringe, maybe I should just put it in the bin and buy a new one. Enough of the waffle and you must visit Julia's blog and take a nosey at all the lovely work spaces out there, and glad to find there a some worse than me LOL.

Sunday Stampers - Rose

Arn't I doing well, another one complete, maybe thats because I have been at home for four days, tucked away like a little hermit, unfortunatley the house work fairy didn't arrive, but have got lots of my jobs done and am trying to be organised and get ahead with my cards.

I have incorporated the theme for this week on my in laws anniversary card and used a grunge paper rose with some luuurrrrrvvvverrrleee touchy feely papers and also made a birthday card.

I have even been a good ickle girlie and taken photies instead of trying to squash them on my scanner, aaaannnnnd managed to upload them onto the PC, take it from me that's progress, can't add links or nowt to my blog cos I'm rubbish at it, and I know the pics are rubbish too!

Hope you like and go lookie at Hel's fab blog too heeeey look what I've done, think I need a lie down, I really do, have just been sat under my dressing gown with it hung over my screen as couldn't see cos of the sun streaming through the window and have come over all unnecessary ROFL.

Sunday Stamper - Hearts

I seemed to have lost doing anything other than cards recently, but have tried to do a hangy thingy, tis ok, but am not over excited about it.

I did this for Sunday Stampers and after covering a piece of chipboard with paint decided it looked a mess so covered with paper, inked up a Tim grunge board heart and sprayed with glimmer mist, added a stamped heart image, added a few bits and bobs, but then my crocco paint arrived, weeeeellllll, just had to slap some on didn't I, things never go to plan, it was supposed to look like a broken heart, ha, ha, ha, rofl. Not sure if I should splodge some more paint on, oh it also has one of my first grunge paper roses on too. Oh well practice makes perfect, as they say, will go back to the drawing board. As usual scanning is pants, thanks for taking a lookie.

Long Time No See!

Smacked wrists, as neglected my blog for a while, and not crafted for about four weeks, needed to recover from all the Chrimbo Cheer, don't think I can face another Christmas card for a while.

It's been a long time coming but have finally had my first attempt at making Grunge Paper flowers and here's the work in progress as I only managed to complete one and the rest are waiting patiently to be built into flowers, watch this space as hopefully they will end up on a project. Umm, notice the professional equipment!

Have made about 20 Chrimbo cards but guess what, not scanned any, so here's one I have scanned, have been decoupage crazy at the minute but am missing my stamping so may need to change direction. Not had much crafting time the last couple of weeks so although I thought I was ahead, I'm not now, so will have to get my butt into gear.

I have been asked to do a couple of simple thank you cards for a work collegue. Oh we do get side tracked don't we, have only managed one and hope it fits the bill. Was tempted to glitter to add a bit of bling, but have moved away from the card and hidden the glitter. I know my scanning is rubbish, but hey! I have been up since five am this morning. Sunday Stampers - Pretty

I cannot believe it's April since I last blogged, don't think anyone will have noticed, but it has probably been about eight weeks since I crafted. I had to pack up all my goodies as we have moved house and I HAVE MY OWN ICKLE CRAFT ROOM, so it has been worth it. Have a lovely new desk, am trying to keep it clean and undamaged, honest!

Sunday Stampers

Am managing to get back into crafting and have joined in the Sunday Stampers http://pinkleart.blogspot.com/ this week. Have not done any challenges for a while and just happen to be having a black and silver phase which fits in with the challenge this week.

Used trusty old Penny Black stamps which come out time after time and have stamped the butterfly on some silver foiled sheets which can also go through your printer, these were purchased from the http://www.theartisticstamper.com/. I have some of that luuurrrvvvverllleeeee canvas that Hels is smitten with but as with lots of stash I have, not got round to using it, must try this week while off work. Happy crafting everyone.

Just a Quickie

Well not had anything to blog for ages, but that's because I don't seem to have time to do any crafting. I really, really need to get some cards done with birthdays creeping up on me so forced myself to take a bit of time the other evening and managed to do a couple, the third ended up in the bin after I'd cocked it up twice, gave up and went to bed.

But here's what I managed and am now hopefully going to settle down for another couple of peaceful hours, daughter at her friends and husband sitting down to watch the footie.

Sunday Stampers - Brown

My effort for this week is an altered notebook and is gold and brown. I used a gold paint dabber, swirl stamps from the Artistic Stamper, paper flowers which I lurrrrrve and a bit of ribbon. This has now been sent to a friend as my January piece for the me to you swap which I am involved with. I decorated the inside too, but didn't scan it, the lustre of the gold paint does not show up on the piccy. I played with the stamping, I dried some of the swirl and then added clear embossing powder and re heated, this caused a more rough effect rather than a smooth shiney one.

I will also confess to the boob I made too, I thought I was clever by removing the spiral wires with my wire cutters to make it easier to paint, thinking I could cut and use some of my own wires. Ummmmm, didn't have any that fit, did I. After sulking, fiddling with wires and head scratching, I threaded fibres through the holes but did'nt like it, pulled out my ribbon drawer and found one lonely length of gold ribbon, eureka, threaded it through and personally was much happier with it. Hope Kerry likes it too.

There seems to be a lot of metal art around at the moment and of course I just had to have a go. Have seen some fabulous works of art on blogs, and been sorely tempted to get the tools, especially as my Angel friends, you know who you are, are playing and coming up with some fab creations. We never want to be left out now, do we, but have reined myself in and just purchased some of the metal sheets, inked with alcohol inks, run through an embossing folder on my cuttlebug and used it as a background on a card. Easy and a bit of a cheat, I know, but whats a girl to do without any tools! Here it is.

I happen to have been off work for the last couple of days as my daughter has been quite unwell with a nasty cold and ear infection, so rather than sit on my bum and watch her sleep on the sofa this afternoon I got out my stash and completed a couple of challenges. Have not had much time to craft since before Christmas, but got myself settled for a good session as I had a few cards to make and one was for a friend who wanted a wedding card which also covers the above challenge for this week which is favourite colour. Yup! Am sooo pleased that I have been able to complete a couple of challenges this afternoon and they have helped me plod on with my Christmas cards, but sorry to all who are fed up with seeing them.

Blog Candy

Well as my 40th birthday is fast approaching I decided I would offer some candy to celebrate. Now, apologies that there is no tempting piccy but I haven't had time to dig out all my unopened/unused goodies, but I can assure you there will be an eclectic mix of stash.

I know it's a week late, it's also my Me to You swap, have put it in the post and hope Claire doesn't look at my blog until she gets it.

I altered a cd case, with Dovecraft papers and Crafter's Companion stamped images, then filled it with lots of stamped Christmas images. I added a couple of snowflakes and some glitter after I had scanned it in.

Second Post in One Day - Secret Crafter Challenge - Blue and White

Well I'm back again, plans all gone to pot today so thought I would add the Christmas Card I as I think it's really cute. At this rate I won't be finished by next Christmas. Took inspiration from http://secretcrafter.blogspot.com/ challenge and made a blue and white card.

I used a Crafter's Companion penguin stamp, a snowflake stamp and paper from Dovecraft, a Spellbinders scalloped circle, how did I ever manage without my cuttlebug? Have been hankering after a Cricut but not sure I need it or would get enough use out of it, but that doesn't stop me hinting to OH.

Sunday Stampers - Purple

Hi peeps, well I have been a very naughty blogger, just have not had time to craft much or blog. As the title suggests the Sunday Stampers theme http://pinkleart.blogspot.com/

is purple this week, and I couldn't believe my luck have just finished my Me to You for loverly ickle Ann and it just fits the bill. I made a wallet which I filled with some stamped images of the stamps I had used, I stamped some swirls as a background, glittered a mask and added a feather, made pockets inside and added a bit of bling. Did take it apart about three times as I stamped with white stazon for the inside but it didn't show up very well, then stamped with some metalic ink but it wouldn't dry, so ended up with just plain card inside!
