Sunday Stamper Dream

Sooo sorry about the photo, I'm not very good at the best of times but this is really fuzzy, but you get the gist.

Well I was fair clapping my ickle hands together when Hels anounced this weeks theme, as I was already most of the way finished with my daughter's 17th birthday card, but just couldn't think what to add as the finishing touch for a sentiment, The theme was in the back of my mind and I was riffleing through my stash and came across the TH tickets and these were just what I needed ta dah!

Yes she was born at 7:40am and she loved the card, she even went as far as to say that it was the bestest card ever, should I start scratchin my head now for her 18th next year!!!!!

I used TH kraft paper, That Special Touch mask, spritzed with Dylusions chocolate ink spray and a Tattered Angels gold spray, Kanban Jasper stamps, coloured with pro/flex markers, paper pieced the skirt with Kanban steampunk paper. TH clock die and tickets, metel embellies, cogs painted with silver paint dabber. The wings are TH grungeboard shapes and used Indigoblu glu and gilding flakes, was a bit fiddly as the glue did not go very tacky on the grungeboard and had to press the flakes on and be very patient (scoffs loudly, as I find this very difficult), and wait for them to dry before scrubbing off the excess and rubbed over them with some black ink to make them  a bit more grungy.

First Steampunk Cards and Birthday Gift

Hello peeps, we did have some sun this morning, but has now clouded over and I like it's gone a bit chilly too, but OH would dissagree :))
My daughters friends birthday card above and my first attempt at a steampunk card using the Kanban Jasper stamps and steampunk papers, Tim Holtz cog die and various bits and bobs, think I used Spectrum Noirs to colour in. I can colour but don't have an eye or natural talent for the colour matching and the light and shade, but I loved doing it.

Below is the goodie part of a box I decorated for a friends birthday, I didn't like the packaging from the shop, so bought all her favourite sweets, she soooo loves sour sweets and set about making my own box.

I painted the box pink and then did the crackle effect in cream and once dried finished with spray and shine to protect it. Used the Tim Holtz tatty flower die and vintage shabby paper stack, a Marriane flower die, Wendy V clearly for art, beads, pearls and pins, (opps, I took the pic before I put the pearls in the flowers).

I made a matching card, and tag, and was very pleased with the end results and so was the recipient, was worth all the time and effort, I could even be as bold to say that I love em!

First Indian Wedding and Art Parts

Been a bit of a hectic week, but I did go to my first Indian Wedding last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an array of colour and the bride was stunning. The colour theme was bright pink and lime green, and yes she did make the groom wear a bright pink turban, but did allow her mum to wear more subtle shades of pink and green. So this is the card I made with papers from the Papermania Time Capsule CD, I die cut Tim Holtz flowers and a sizzix swirl out of adhesive film and flocked them. I made a matching "Milk Carton" box from a Polkadoodles template much the same as the card and filled with tissue paper and tied the collection we had with a ribbon and popped inside. But doh! forgot to take a pic.

Have managed to have my first play with Wendy Vecchi art parts, I have used some Bo Bunny Gabrielle papers, Wendy Vecchi stamps and clearly for art, Tim Holtz flower die and distress inks, not bad for a first attempt, but need more practice and would like a bit more inspiration thrown my way :). I do sometimes think that I have that much stuff my mind cannot focus on choosing a few items and spend more time shuffling stuff around than been productive!

Ta Ta for now.

Going Buggy - Boys Cards

Well I thought I'd cropped these pics, but you know what I'm like with the techy stuff, takes me all my time to get them off my camera, gives me all these options and I never know which one to pick. Back to business, over at Enfy's blog this months challenge is to make a card for a child and it just happens to be my nephew's birthday next Wednesday so here's what I did for him.
The papers are We R Memory Keepers, the top card is a fab digi image from Syders Corner and it just happened to be a freebie, Mike is coloured with Spectrum Noirs and Pro Markers, not used the SN much but I would lean more towards my Pro Markers as been my pen of choice, but ya don't know unless you try, do ya. The second card is image is cut on my Cricut from the 3 Birds on Parade as are both card sentiments.

Ta Ta for now.

Hello All

HA! Found the lead to the camera, have not blogged loads of stuff, cos I had a tidy up ages ago then could'nt find anything, including the connections for the camera's. The one I have found just happens to be for one of those all singing all dancing one's which is a camcorder and stills camera, and as you can see, don't know how to use that either, point and press, easy peasy, yeah, ok!
Thanks for peaking.

Butterflies and Lace

Over on Enfy's blog and this months challenge is Butterflies and Lace, and this is what I have come up with. The image is from a Polka Doodles cd, pretty sweet as are the papers, but cannot remember which cd oops, the heart was cut from my Cricut, the butterfly is a Wendy Vecchi stamp, which was stamped twice, once on patterned paper and once on Clearly for Art film, then heated and shaped while still warm. Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes but the sun is steaming through the window and I cannot see the screen very well, not that I'm complaining about the sun, and it is my own fault as I keep saying that I need a blind for the window, but never buy one.

Am making my first, or should I say, trying to, a frame thingy for my daughter with the theme of Alice in Wonderland, am trying out my glue gun which was a birthday pressie from my sister, how much mess can you get into with one of those things, ummmm, didn't know you could get soo many stringy glue strands all over the place. Have a lovely week will be counting down till the end of the week.
