Papertake Weekly Challenge

Virgin Scrapbooker

Hello everyone, well, I've finally started although a bit of a coward, have chosen to do a mini book first as a taster. I dusted down a couple of boxes of photo's and albums, and was astounded to find a lot of the albums were very discoloured and in some cases going mouldy. I have started with very old photo's of myself which are a bit dog eared to say the least, and here's my first couple of pics, be gentle with me please. The book is made with pockets and the top page slides into pocket of the first page, below.

Sunday Stampers

Well it's always hit and miss with challenges, I have good intentions but don't alway have time to get round to them.

But I have managed to do this weeks Sunday Stampers and on a Sunday too. The theme for this week is Sisters, I have used papers from a Funky Hand CD and a water coloured Bella stamp, which I love.

Funky Fairys Challenge

Just a quicky, have done the Funky Fairys challenge which has fit in nicely with the new stamps I bought at the Bolton Show at the weekend, have done two but one wouldn't scan very well as it was done on dark card with mica powder, really pleased with the results too. The one I am showing is with stamps from Lavinia stamps, painted with some mica powders, a touch of glitter and a touch of ribbon. Don't forget to take a peak at the Funky Fairys blog http://funkyfairychallenge.blogspot.com/ OOOh, better let you know that the challenge was to stamp the background and the images and use no papers only card for matting and layering, hope I get away with the ribbon.

Lots to do Challenges

Info for my second challenge can be found at http://lotstodocallenges.blogspot.com/, the theme was decoupage. Still on the mission to use things that are "Must Haves" and still in packets I used stamps from Crafters Companion and the co ordinating CD.

Papertake Challenge

Have managed to do a couple of challenges yesterday and the first one is the papertake challenge details can be found on their blog http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/. This week you had to include purple and green, mine turned out to be more lilac than purple. I used K&Co papers, DCVW card, a stamped image from a swap and PM fabric flowers.

Me to you swap

Have a stack of stuff to load onto my blog, but firstly I will put on my latest Me to You swap as I know Tina has received it. I did my first attempt at an ickle circle book and fist go with the BIA, was ok but need to practice with the lining up of the holes, circles, I found not the easiest to start with.

I used beer mats and covered with papers, used stamped images, my first purchase of Bella stamps, flowers, stickers and some grunge board thrown in for good measure.
