Arty Girlz Challenge - Open

Don't you find it's hard to decide what you should do when there are no rules? I decided I would use something that has been tucked away unused, I have lots, as I am sure many of us do, of "Must Haves" that have yet to be touched. I used a Paper Nation stamp which I had got in a QVC, TSV a few months ago. Think it's quite cute.

Brayering

Had another session with the brayer and used another new stamp from Lavinia Stamps.

Thought I had better think of seven pieces of information about myself as lovely Ann was so kind to tag me. So here goes.

1. I was a born a month over due and had collar length hair and long fingernails, oh and I think I was really wrinkley.

2. I have been a beauty queen! see pic.

3. I have a tatto of Thumper on my right hip, which I had done when I was thirty, maybe it's time for another one for my 40th.

4. I met Roy Orbison while my dad was taking me for a walk in the pram near Elland Road football club.

5. My shoes size is only a 3.5.

6. I broke my ankle just before my 21st birthday while doing paintballing, the same day we were going for a fruity week at my now inlaws caravan.

7. I don't like mint flavoured stuff.
Have to tag people now.

Sunday Stampers

I have managed to do the Sunday Stampers challenge for this week and am pleased with my effort, the theme this week is words, the word stamp is from Clarity Stamps.

I have used a new stamp which I bought at the Hobbycrafts show at Aintree on Saturday which is from Lavinia stamps, one of my favs. Have persisted for the last couple of hours as have usually packed up trying to use my brayer after going through what seems like reams of paper and getting rubbish results. Still carried on after getting the results I wanted with another new stamp and then went and put a big inky print on it after mounting and making into a card, DOH!

Here is the result.

Lastly, as I need to empty the drier and go to bed as I'm up at five in the morning, come on ladies aaaaaaarrrrhhhh.

Thank you to lovely Ann R for tagging me, will have to have a think about the seven interesting things about myself as will have to dig deep and be more alert than I am now. Will get back to you all on that one.

Just one more left, have completed my birthday envelope to make into a book (one of many), to celebrate Craft Swap forum's second birthday, our team, Coffee M8tes theme was nature and did we have trouble finding the DL envelopes with a side opening, lots of thanks to Fifi as she sent most of her team members the elusive envelope.

I have received some lurrrverly stash from Scrummy Stash Cafe and made a card for a friend at work who's birthday is also on Friday.

Well good evening all, had a very tough week and not much time for crafting or for my puter. Have managed a few bits and pieces. The first is a couple of cards for my nephew who's birthday is on Friday.

I have used some Paper Nation decoupage and hope it also covers last weeks Sunday Stamper's challenge theme "Family".
The other card is also for my nephew but will be from my daughter, for this I have used a stamp from a set of Little Trumpers from the Stamp man. I have also used paints from the Stamp Man to make the background papers

I have had my first go at the Arty Girlz challenge this week, really helped me as I have a collegues 60th birthday next week and sat scratching my head. The theme was black and white and here's my effort. You should be used to my "talent" for scanning by now!

I must be on a roll, have completed another challenge http://funkyfairychallenge.blogspot.com/ . Was looking at the design teams work and realised I had a set of stamps which were still in the packet waiting to be cut and mounted, one of many I am ashamed to say. Here is what I came up with, I used DCWV paper from Once Upon a Time and stamps from Tanda.

I also did another one but need to go back to the drawing board, usual story, thought it needed something else, I know, I thought, I'll edge it in gold Krylon. OOOOps, managed to smudge it, curl up the velum and bent the corner of the card. Have put it to one side and will dismantle it later.

It's lovely having a couple of days off work, and feel really pleased with myself as I have had a go at the Papertake challenge for last week http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.com/. The theme was making waves, think I just about made the "Waves" with my scalloped mat.

Sunday 6 April 2008

Well good evening, have finally managed a couple of hours crafting this week, surrounded myself with stash and didn't have a clue what I was going to do. Thanks to Hels http://pinkleart.blogspot.com/ for setting the Sunday Stampers challenge and an idea I pinched from this months Craft Stamper, which I bought this lunchtime. I set to work and made two tags from mountboard, inked with Distress inks and stamps I dug out with a travel theme, some grungeboard hinges a brad which I coloured with a gold Krylon pen. This is how it turned out. Rubbish scanning again, but you get the gist.
