WOYWW

Good evening all, yes I am later than usual, but here none the less, and did visit a couple of blogs in my lunch at work.

Unusually for me I have taken quite a close up of my desk as it was, half an hour ago while making a card for a friends twin niece and nephew, was a bit stuck as had the Paper Nation decoupage, and I tell you now my new scissors I bought are worse than the old ones I was replacing, maybe I need to borrow some of Anne's lol, well back to the plot unbelievably I don't have any girly pastelly papers, so decided to dig out all the Once upon a time stash, which is where I have unearthed the photo's of my daughter from on my desk, as they were in the box waiting to be used in the Album, so far have only done two pages as not done very much scrapping, ummmmm, and that was errrmmm probably at least twelve to eighteen months ago oops. Are you still with me, well my idea was that the little girl would have Once Upon A Time and the little boy Happily Ever After, am still scratching head as wonder if the papers are ok for six year olds, decided I will take the completed one and if tis ok will crack on with the other, if not, back to the drawing board and cutting out.

Just to show I can be messy, here's a pic of the floor and my draws, while I've been crafting, but it's now fairly tidy again, just can't leave it LOL.
Hope you've all had a lovely Wednesday and will be popping round for a nosey when I can, and don't forget to visit our leader Julia to see what's going on.
Night Night peeps.
xx

Lovely card Tracey, I know what you mean about the papers being suitable but think sometimes they don't need pretty pink or boyish blue at that age. Ah cute photo :-)What do you mean took a picture 'as it was' do you mean you've been pulling the wool over our eyes all this time and tidying up before showing us your desk! I don't believe it!

I love this card. When I first saw it, I thought it was a book cover. You did a fantastic job. I can totally relate to making a mess, then needing to clean it up right away. Since I don't have much exposure to young children, I have no idea about how appropriate the papers are. But I think they are fab and believe they are not age specific.

Sorry I'm late getting here this week. Hope you had a great WOYWW.

Hi Tracey

Have you tried the titanium scissors as sold on create and craft tv I bought some and although they can still get sticky they are better than ordinary scissors plus they were only about £5 for three pair.

Hi, I love that paper, and yes I think very suitable for a 6 year old. They have a terrific imagination!
You asked about the guild - The guild offers you a binder (on my desk) and it contains a catalogue of stamps with samples of cards and ideas. Then there's a monthly news letter including a tutorial to make one card (I'm dead chuffed next month it's one of mine} and this is exclusive to guild members, a guide to inks, and a monthly guild stamp, and a forum to join. Cost £25 per year. You can check this out through the link on my blog. I'm very impressed with Glenda and the professional way she puts things together. Her papers are lovely, some viberant, some delicate. Her stamps are excellent - they stamps with such clarity. As you can see, I'm on cloud Graphicus and enjoying it soooo much! ikki

It is a great card Tracey, and as I'm so late, I expect you're over the problem by a mile! Really happy to see that while you work, the floor can become a little chaotic! Also recommend that you join a crop!!
